June 2, 2020 Advisory: Update on ARISE-3 Dry Eye Trial

ROCKVILLE, Md. (June 2, 2020) – RegeneRx Biopharmaceuticals, Inc. (OTCQB: RGRX) (“the Company” or “RegeneRx”), a clinical-stage drug development company focused on tissue protection, repair and regeneration, announced today the revised completion schedule for ARISE-3, a phase-3 clinical trial testing RGN-259 for the treatment of dry eye syndrome (DES).

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the scheduled completion for ARISE-3 has been moved out approximately 2 months.  As reported yesterday on https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT03937882?term=arise-3&cond=dry+eye&draw=2&rank=1, the revised estimated primary completion date is August 2020, and the estimated study completion date is November 2020.  These are current estimates and could be impacted by any significant changes in the incidence of the virus in the U.S.
