One of the most interesting properties of Tβ4 is that it appears to be active whether administered topically or systemically. The first scientific studies conducted by the NIH demonstrated that Tβ4 achieved the same dermal wound healing results whether administered topically to the wound site or injected systemically. When evaluating Tβ4 in cardiac wound models, researchers found similar results whether injecting Tβ4 directly into the heart or systemically. These observations have the potential to extend RegeneRx’s technology platform beyond topical medical applications and into internal tissue and organ repair.
